  2. ignoring media for thirty years they can suddenly 
  3. turn on the TV or go to a Madonna concert, and 
  4. suddenly they‚Äôre experts in media. Well, mass 
  5. media is as deserving of a full scholarly analysis 
  6. and absorption as any other discipline in the 
  7. history of mankind. And those of us who have kept 
  8. the faith right from the start‚ÄîI have been totally 
  9. absorbed in the world of television and movies and 
  10. rock music for like, 40 years of my 46 years of life. 
  11. I‚Äôm just like this walking encyclopedia of it. I was 
  12. cleaving to it at a time when, in the late ‚Äò60s‚Äîat 
  13. Yale Graduate School‚Äîwhen it certainly cost me. It
